Ancestry, BBC2 and Who Do You Think You Are?

Dear publishers,

With the New Year upon us comes the eagerly awaited BBC2 TV series Who Do You Think You Are? (early January 2006) which is already generating a lot of interest in online genealogy.

Stephen Fry, Julian Clary, Jeremy Paxman, Gurinder Chadha, Sheila Hancock and Jane Horrocks discover their roots in this new "rollercoaster ride of discovery".

Jeremy Paxman's story takes place in England, Scotland and Canada. Sheila Hancock's roots take her to Italy where she learns about her grandfather's interesting trade. Julian Clary discovers his engineer grandfather went through difficult times in the Royal Flying Corps during the war.

It's a great time to push the Ancestry.co.uk affiliate programme, which is featured in many of the series episodes as the choice of online genealogy websites so make sure you have your Ancestry.co.uk banners up and running.

Many thanks

Paul Lewis
